As most of you know Juan is developing a Fenix fork named Bennu. Now an official forum has emerged at http://www.bennugd.org, and best of all is that the top forums are English, and that this default internet language is seriously being supported next to Spanish. Information no longer needs to be second hand for those of us who don't speak Spanish.

On the forums you can already sign up for betatesting and Juan offers insight in the changes he is making, so go there already!

The changes being done to Bennu are quite awesome. The most notable one is that the core is being separated from functionality, IE the functionality will reside in modules, which can be included or not. This and some other DLL advances make DLL making easier and more useful, as it is possible to include only one module/DLL for a task and not have the built-in Fenix stuff. Think audio and video DLL's.
Furthermore, Bennu has a bunch of minor compiler fixes over Fenix, for example two precompiler fixes (nested #else not choosing the correct #if and precompiler statement and comment beneath each other going wrong).
There are more advantages to Bennu, but I can't name them all by heart, so in conclusion: check it out.
