The sound of your footsteps reverberates around the distant walls as you step into a huge, white marble hallway. Line after line of columns, each 5 feet in diameter, support an elaborately decorative ceiling at a dizzying height above your head. You pause for a moment to take in the inpiring spectacle before you, before slowly resuming your cautious pace towards the centre of the room - where a small, square, marble pedestal stands. You pass column after column, gazing in wonder at the intricate patterns carved into every inch of each tower of stone. Are they symbols? Words in some strange language? Or are they purely decorative? You can only speculate. As the pedestal draws closer you can see, cut into it's surface, what appears to be a button. With one final step, you stand before the pedestal. With a shaking hand you slowly reach down and push the button down into it's recess. And wait. The sound of your own quickenned breathing is all that can be heard as you nervously anticipate the action's consequences. Then, in the blink of an eye something appears from nowhere just beyond the pedestal. It's instantaneous appearence is joined by a deafenning slamming sound which shatters the silence like a sledgehammer to a ming vase. The sound echoes for what seems like an age, before diminishing to silence once again. A huge oak doorway now stands before you. You watch as the two thick wooden doors swing outwards on their hinges revealing an inviting passage to another room. You stare in amazment at the impossible sight; the room beyond the doorway appears to share the same space as the marble hall. Stepping around the pedestal you make your way towards the doorway. You pause on the threshold to the new room, taking one final glance around the hallway, before entering...
