Hey, I have made a few 3DS models of areas that I know and like. I was wondering if anyone knew how to convert 3DS files into the BSP format used in COUNTER STRIKE - that would be so amazing!

Of course it is impossible to convert them directly because BSP files are compiled rather than exported but it should be possible to copy certain geometry to polygons. From what I read it does not copy textures and it is not 100% leak-free, so you'll have to be patient with it and put a lot of effort in it. There are some programs that allow you to convert 3DS files manually to MAP files which can be compiled to BSP files... learn more about it here, here and here if you can make *.map files you can compile them to bsp with your own compile tools (i.e. Hammer) to use them in counter-strike or something. i think there is a .x to bsp converter... Something to do with darkbasic! go seek bitch And you know how easy it is to get from .3ds to .x! P.S Sorry for taking a year to answer! ____________ Gimme my toetag already... |
