Hey, I need something to put together a video with. I have some experience of this, but ideally it should be easy to use (or at least fairly intuitive), but most importantly it's got to be free (I'm cheap, ok?)

What I've already found is something called Jahshaka, however it's far from easy to use or intuitive, and seems to have a minimal community/forum. But I was wondering if you guys had found anything better.

Cheers

Seconded. WMM is pretty easy and does what it's supposed to do. If you don't want too fancy tricks, I suggest you try it.

I have been put off WMM by many people protesting that it is the worst thing since cancer. Ok, maybe not THAT bad, but I thought based on views I have heard that there must be a better free alternative.

It crashes like formula one car and is pretty much the opposite of flexible.
Other than that... It's fine.

The main problem I have with videos composed with Windows Movie Maker is the recurrent use of the slow motion effect by the masses. You can pick out the movies made with WMM immediatly.

You should give Ulead Video Studio a try. It may not be free, but it can be, like everything else. :eyeroll:

I used some program like Video Edit Magic... then again i just bought it because you get that annoying stmp on the top... IMHO i spent a lot of time looking for a free video editor that it is nearly worth buying the software
