if you type SQL in a reply you get this message: Quote: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@bs.ruilhandel.net and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. [\n] Try it out by posting/previewing a post with "zelect * from table" [substitute zelect with select]. This can be quite nasty since SQL is such a "talk" language. for insntance this innocent sentence: "kreate images and save them on your harddisk and vieww them". substitute 'kreate' with 'create' and 'vieww' with 'view'. (I used it to ommit the error) - also; the code tags are still messed up in IE. - how can I delete my own posts? - Does anyone remember that system Mike Green used to edit posts? :p [Edited on November 18, 2006 by Frimkron] ____________ |

Regarding the SQL injection: Apache has a list of things that you're not allowed to submit and it catches stuff from a pattern. If it sees you submitting those it will fail. Notice it says internal server error. This is the server failing because it found a match for an SQL query. We've checked the error logs and this appears to be the case. This is not an ideal situation at all. It means that no one can even talk about SQL on the forum currently with the way the server is set up. But we don't have access to the server configuration so do'h. Needless to say, your SQL query doesn't touch any of the code, the server sees it, and fails. We have already drafted an e-mail to the admins telling them to please get rid of it, and if they must have it to fucking fix it. (It only works for specific SQL queries, and certain ones, like really basic ones, aren't caught. But no matter because even when they get through the site accomadates for it.) It's not actually part of Apache, it's part of a module for it, mod_security. I'm not sure exactly what it works on, I'm guessing everything that is submitted to the server by the user, and the documentation for mod_security has the configuriation settings for it somewhere, can't remember now. ____________ laffo |

I think something broke the show new posts button. It doesn't seem to work properly anymore. This is really annoying, and probably keeps a lot of people from posting thinking there are no new posts. Edit: this is what happens, when I come out of my bed(it's a brand new day) and press the "show new posts" button, it finds nothing (while when I check last post date for every board it's obvious that there were posts). But then like during the afternoon the show new posts button suddenly does work. [Edited on October 28, 2006 by Rincewind] ____________ Personal website: http://www.loijson.com |

Quoting Frimkron: Which timezone are you in, Rince? GMT+1 - but different time zones shouldn't break the show new post button. Especially because it worked before. Edit: fuck no it does not work, let's take moogle's post down here, it didn't show up in the show new posts. Just as two other posts. The detection of new posts works, no offence, crappy anyway. Not saying it's easy to implement something decent though.

Some of the genre thumbnails in the game galleries don't work, because the links aren't actually pointing to images. Beat-em-up, blast-em-up and retro more specifically.

Quick catch up. Quoting Moogle: The detection of new posts works, no offence, crappy anyway. Not saying it's easy to implement something decent though. I agree, it's very rudimentary. Doesn't work too well, all it does is look at the last time you logged in, it knows if you want to get new ones or not by seeing if there's a session or not. Quoting Dennis: Error navigating through the bread crumbs when attempting to navigate away from posting a new topic: ERROR: Module is not installed or has been disabled! Dodgy. I've fixed that. Question is, why did it happen? The icons were there but the database entries mustn't have been pointing to them. Its weird because those 3 were the most recent to be added although it was ages ago.

I've noticed this too, on topics (memberlist pages, etc), when you start on page 1, the site thinks you're on page 1 whatever page you then navagate to.
