Um... not really much to say. The general feel - camera movement, music, etc is very good but... is there actually a way out? And why does every single area look the same?

This could be very very sharp; but I've got the feeling that this is a VERY early WIP.

'course it is -_-... it's a WIP, no? hey, at least it doesn't shows just a cube "walking" around a wireframe matrix (like most DB WIPS -_-)... no there is no way out as that hasn't be implemented yet, it's an early WIP, yes, you're right, a WIP means also don't expect too much... no? :P. And they look the same 'cause... that's how it kinda looks in the real game (and that helps for you getting lost, which increases the "maze" rating for saying it that way...) it needs levers, treasure chests and all that decorative stuff I haven't added yet (I have levers done, but they need to work now). Anyways, thanks for your comments though ^^

Looks cool, has a nice touch. The graphics and music are cool and the provide a great atmosphere.
One thing though. When you are on a straight line and you walk straight forward, you're still stuttering. Maybe it is supposed to do that, but smoothing it out might be more lovely.
Hope this gets finished.

Nice idea - and this early wip looks very promising. The movement works really well.

Weird, it shouldn't. Make sure you extract all the files into a folder then run the EXE... it freezes if it doesn't finds map. and obj. on there :P (so double-clicking the EXE on WinRAR/WinZIP won't work). Yay, thanks y'all for the comments ^^;

Worked on my second try but my laptop doesn't have (working) numpad keys!

Has a nice old-school First Person RPG feel to it, but with smooth scrolling. I rather like it. Decent graphics, good choice of music...

Now add some monsters!

Strange - darkbasic games (espescially this one) don't seem to run on my pc. And btw why did you turn to the dark (basic) side?

Hi ,
I had find you , a long time ago in the game creators forums.
Did you continue about your good game?

If you are a DarkBasic Programmer , I will send you a complete Eye of the Beholder engine , Very similar to Lands of lore 1.

Visite my youtube video of Eye of the Beholder 4 intro.

My engine you will help you a lot to create the next Lands of Lore Remake.

Remember , Lands of Lore and Eye of the Beholder , aren't 3D are 2D and uses 2D images to make a peudo 3D environment.

I have made a lot or research in this kind of dungeon crawler engines since 1996 and I have found , this kind of engine can be manipulated only in 2D.

If you have decide to make it 3D because it is very easy to move in the dungeon , you will find the problem , how to put 3D monsters or other 3D items. If you are not a good 3D artist , may stop continue to develop the game , because you don't have 3D monsters. I have found this problem , in a 3D rpg , which I tried to create , but I need to purchase expensive 3D models , and expensive 3D programs like 3D studio. Because is very difficult for me to create my models in 3D. I can create good architecture , like , dungeons , castles and medieval buildings but , models , like , humans , charachters and monsters I can't.

I have dozens of 2D monsters and 2D items , to fit all of them with animation in a very good 2D (from scratch) dungeon crawler engine.
