I know you guys have it.

I'm a fourth level Redguard Warrior.

Downed two gates, and I had to get off just as I was doing this quest where you have to pretend you're a memeber of the mythic dawn.

I'm rubbish I know.

I found morrowind boring as the plot seemed to consist of reading lines of text. and killing enemies required hours of levelling up rather than skill. Is this one any different?
I might get it if the AI is as good as advertised. although my pc won't run it so then again I might not.

I've been addicted to Oblivion for the past few days. I can't seem to do anything else.

I'm playing at highest settings (but without AA) it's the most gorgeous game ever, and plays a million times better than Morrowind ever did.

The AI is a load of old hype, but that doesn't really matter, the game is still amazingly good.

Some screens of my PC running it, I turned off some of the shadow effects since I didn't notice a big graphical change...

As for the rest of your concerns DTM, Oblivion features a leveled enemy system, so enemies are only as hard to kill as your current level. Though I never really had a problem with that.
Also every single line of speech in Oblivion is spoken outloud, so there's a lot less text to read. Infact the entire dialog system is toned down a lot.

I think Oblivion is more of an easier game to play and get into, whereas Morrowind needed quite abit of concentration and playing. I love both, but they're very different games.
I recommend you try Oblivion either way.

Well, my brother's got it for the 360. Which is kind of lame as we can't get mods, but I'm only home for a month, and the best pc in the house is complete wank anyway. Takes half an hour to boot up.

BTW: I on;y got to play for three hours today, between waking up and my brother's coming home from school (I am that lazy).

In that time I: spent an hour fighting this one orc vampire and then giving up and leaving the dungeon whereupon my horse killed him. Getting Azura's Star. Closing the gate outside of Cheydinhal.

I actually like the whole Oblivion Gate thing. Closing gates down feels like I'm actually doing something that is good. Although I hope that the game doesn't stop or anything once they're all closed or the story's done, that way I can do al the other stuff afterwards.

I can still see the Imperial City from all the way up here! Wahoo for huge draw distances.

Pilot: There's a gazillion quests not tied to the main storyline, so you just do those. In other news, I am now arena Grand Master. Pwn.
