What's everybody doing these days? It's so quiet.

I'm in the last few days of my one week vacation, and at this moment I'm writing a report for school. I should be learning my exams but this thing needs finishing too. Sadly there hasn't been any time for coding since October. :annoyed:

And you people? Having fun, being suppressed, living a boring routine life or having seas of free time? :P

Well of course I've got school (informatica), further I play in a band, which are hopefully becomming two bands soon. Also maybe I'm going to play in the church! :yay: It's not the church that I usually go to on sundays, but I know a few of the people of my age that go there and they wanted to form a band for the youth services.

Further I'm helping setting up a special praise service which we are organising with a group of Christians of my age as closure to a sort of talk group which I go to. That group was formed with the Youth Alpha course, which is a course about the basics of the Christian faith. But when that course was done we wanted to go on as a group so we started the AYA (after youth alpha). With AYA we basically eat together in the church (switching who is cooking of course), talk about faith and sing (wel of course I drum when the rest sings).

And PB: Did you go to Windesheim because it is christian or because you liked the school?

Well that Windesheim is a Christian school did have a bit influence on my desision, but I was aware that the school doesn't do mutch with that label. But of course it's good to know that they should follow the same values as you do. I have no experience with not-Christian schools, so I don't know if there is still any difference.

When I desided for Windesheim, the main reason was that it was a distance that I could travel from home, so I didn't have to move. Also I heared that Windesheim had a good reputation as a school, so with that in mind I made my desision.

The school is ok in general, but as a student you spend little time in contact with the teachers (lessons/reviews/etc.). The first year in general is the toughest, after that it's all easy. Also a lot of work is done in groups (larger group projects), but there are some classes that you can do with self-study.

But I've understood that they changed the system now and that it's easyer to switch between informatica and technische or bedrijfskundige informatica. I think that's a verry positive thing if that is so, because I might have choosen for Technische Informatica if it was easy to switch after the first year.

But when I started the study, the important things that are informatica specific are all tought in the first year, after that you can choose your own courses (but many courses you still have to follow, because they give you study-points for a category that you can't fill up with other courses)

"bedrijfskundige" means "buisiness administration" and "informatica" means "computer science". "Technische" as you might have guessed means "Technical". Technical computer science, is basically more hardware orientated, while normal computer science, is mostly software programming and databases. I supose you can fill in the blanks...

Anyway I really need my sleep now :S (reminds me why I didn't visit forums everyday anymore)
