I am collecting Super Nintendo Games. The real ones in their cartridges, none of that ROM stuff!

Interesting note: some games allow you to save the game progress by using a CR232 battery attached to a soldering pin inside the cartridge. Once the battery is out of power, your save games are gone! LoL!

Anyway, here are the games I already have (shipping $$ included):
- Donkey Kong Country (25€)
- Super Mario World (broken!) (14€)
- Chrono Trigger (70€)

The Chrono Trigger one was in AWESOME state. The contact pins were like new. Worth gold compared to the Donkey Kong Country cartridge, whose pins are half worn out. I guess quality comes with a price tag!

Further rarities to collect:
- Lufia & Lufia II
- Secret of Evermore, Secret of Mana
- Final Fantasy II, III, VI
- Earthbound (goes around for 150 euro at least!)
- Undercover Cops (SFC) (Very rare! Very expensive.)
- etc.

=D
Maybe I'll post pictures later.

Nonsense. Have you ever actually collected real SNES games? Try to find a near-new, good pins condition cartridge of a reputable game like The Legend of Zelda: a link to the past or Super Mario: Yoshi's Island for under 20 euro. They may look clean on the pictures, but once you get them home you see that they are in shit state.

I've only got about a hundred SNES games. I don't care about the pins as long as they work. And every one of mine does.

I purchased Zelda and Yoshi's Island for less than 20Euros each. They were boxed too and Zelda had the map, instructions and other bits too.

You were robbed :P

You purchased them when and from where? That's the question. Try to find Chrono Trigger for that price - smartass. I dare you. Can't you read? I wrote 'included shipping costs'. Here's the calculation for you:

- Donkey Kong Country: 18 euro + 7 euro shipping costs (Germany small packets)

- Super Mario World: 10 euro + 4 euro shipping costs within same country

- Chrono Trigger: 65 euro + 5 euro shipping costs (Chicago)

You didn't say which version of Zelda you purchased. I am referring to 'Zelda: a link to the past'. There are about 14 Zelda games. Yoshi's Island, sure. These games are easy to find, but I am quite certain you will not ever find games like Earth Bound (SNES), Chrono Trigger (SNES) and 'Mr. Gimmick'(NES) for under 60$. Why? First of all, Earthbound goes for 170$ at least!! Second of all Chrono Trigger is rare. Third, Mr. Gimmick is extremely rare as it has never ever been released but in some small markets. I've spent days and days searching on the internet for online stores and auctions and I didn't find anything cheap - so I bet you won't find those games cheap neither.

Provide a source from where you bought them. I do believe you, but my Mario game was broken and I am pissed off because of that. So from now on I will mind how the state of the pins is. Also, the state of the internal battery. If your game has corrosion, it might work the first few times but after that it might get fubar.

I would appreciate it if you would talk less out of your arse and provide sources for everything you say.

I challenge you to find lower prices for these games. Here's my research:

No need to get touchy! Did you not see the Smilies?

I purchased all of my games from eBay. And yes, it is Zelda A Link To The Past (which you might just be able to see in the front row in that photo).

I can't give prices as I purchased these many years ago and have long since forgotten, however I never paid more than £10 for any one game, including postage.

I don't need to provide sources as the evidence of my collection was provided in that photo. Believe me or not I don't give a toss.

You need to fucking chill.

Many years ago. Figured. By the way, 10£ is 12 euros. Smilies don't really help sentences. Here's an example: "You're a dickhead :P". Go put that 'chill' word in your ass. That's a word only used by the rotten shit of today called youngsters and marginals who smoke.

The point is that if you try to find these games TODAY on eBay, they will cost you a lot more than £10 if you want package included. People now know they are rare so they won't just throw them away for almost no money.

Have you not learned at university that you should always provide valid sources for what you say? That collection is not an evidence. It could be anyone's picture. Actual proof would be invoices with your name on it - or at least links (like I provided) stating how much these games cost. You will not get a Zelda - a link to the past, with fucking manual and fucking box for 10£. Anyone who does that is insane. Instead:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Le … =item25763f3720

That's right. 59£ + 11£ shipping my friend. You seem to have forgotten a little thing called inflation and indexation. Forgotten accounting classes much?

I provide proof. I am a serious person and I'm not a joker. I don't relax. I always speak my mind. Deal with it.

I have more sense than you could ever have. I study at a highly reputable university. You just blurt out unfounded statements. I state facts and I back them up by evidence. Something a lot of idiots don't do. I should've known you were a liberal cunt.

Could you not be a tad bit friendlier to people, Zomg? Please don't flame people on this messageboard, it's against the rules of participation.

Hahahaha against the rules. That's a good one. How about you people start being competent ITers and start flushing out the spamming accounts that spam regularly here. You don't have anything to say about those do you? If I were Project Manager I would flush out every single account that isn't active a month after being notified. I bet you'd flush down thousands of accounts that way.

Incompetence roams this board.

Also, rockford was the one being impolite to me: "Believe me or not I don't give a toss.

You need to fucking chill. " I didn't write that. I wasn't being offensive. He started being an asshole just because he doesn't know how to provide evidence for what he says. He comes here making fun of my efforts and making fun of how I was 'robbed'. He has no clue of today's current market. Games have become rare and expensive. I defend for what I say. Anyone who attacks me will get nailfucked.

And don't you think I don't know that you are all whining to each other about my post. Usually no one gives a fuck about what I write. Now because little pussy rockford over there had his girlish feelings hurt, he sends his entire barbie army towards me. What a noob. I know how you all think. I got you all figured out.

Zomg, this is what I meant by "you reap what you sow" in a discussion we had earlier. In this case I do think you where sharing your pride in the hobby you have, related to old games, which is something I think fits this site well.

In your mindset I think you where offended in your pride when Rockford said "You where robbed!" while I think it's a very understandable and defendable response from Rockford.

Maybe that's why you didn't notice that you where the first to break the politeness ISO standards (which is a joke, because politeness is very localized):
Quoting Zomg:
I would appreciate it if you would talk less out of your arse and provide sources for everything you say.

As you probably know, humans do not work like computers, there is not a fixed protocol for your output to be processed by others in a certain way. Even if you are right in a discussion, people will not even listen to you if you do not know how to bring the message.

Even if you have the perfect scientific proof that the world is actually flat, people will not believe it, because we all are taught that the world is a globe by many respectable and trustable people (from our perspective). For us to take your knowledge as valid input, you need to build up the right reputation, trust and association with your message. If you know to bring your message really well, your proof could be a picture of a soccer field...

So if you often output offensive language, you build up a reputation. This does mean that people will read your message with this reputation in their minds (in this case, you did put that reputation there yourself). Now you are in debate, that reputation is held against you, because people will quickly assume that your behaviour is in line with your offensive reputation ("you probably sought this conflict" - frequent forum reader).

Personally, I believe that you are an intelligent being, but I do think you need to work on your social and communicative skills. Also I think you should try to view the world more objectively (which is science), in stead of judging it before hand, which you seem to do a lot.

Maybe you can write 1000 lines of code at once without error, but communication is subjective, it does not compile to locate errors. So in your case it may be wiser, when communication goes bad, not to assume for the fault to be at the other side.

Look at what you can do to improve the communication from your side in stead. Try to find out why your message did not come across and improve on it for next time you want to share something with us.

I'm just a visitor to this site, just like you (not a moderator or anything in that area, I have been, but I've asked quite a few years ago not to be a moderator anymore for reasons I do not even remember ;) ), but from my side I want to thank you for putting effort into contributing to this forum with website related content. Since you're one of the few who do...

(I think I missed a calling for becomming a shrink :P )

EDIT: I totally missed those last posts, but now I've putten the effort into writing this story nobody cares about, I might as well keep it online :S

Well, some people in my family I talk to a lot often say the f word so I am kind of used to swearing all the time.

I will however not do effort for others. If others can't handle me, I won't mold myself into their liking. I have my own personality (even if I say vile things) and if people can't deal with it, it's their problem. It's the law of survival.

What I am tired of is those spammers. I've already mailed the website staff about it and they don't respond. Yeah you have a high EQ.
