Did you ever made up a language? (kunõuna iyõ agah sufac õd?) I'm planning to use this in a story, but I'm afraid that it's unpronounceable. "This is a test of unpronounceableness" translates to "Pasp yl õmdhymyõmzautakmas ros ta" Thuom-iyõh O jok aup yõp!! You think this might be usable? ____________ Kwakkel |

just use some unknown forgotten language instead of inventing one. if you can't escape the need to invent one, just take a normal word and try to change several letters or/and there place or/and add another letter or symbol or somthing on each letter in order to make it some kind unique. you can allways invent some cavemen language with sticks and wierd ugly ass drawings oh so ammm good luck ____________ Get bitten by a vampire or at least at my own character muhahahaha! http://s7.bitefight.org/c.php?uid=159944 |

Ehm... hi! I think there are several "invented" languages for stories. Didn't the author of Lord of the Rings put some effort in making a realistic fictional language for the elves? Anyway if you plan to use it in a story, a dictionary would be handy Yoko! huu... Mha elvug ghe "nuev" lagu po yares. Sahhe crea Lord of the Rings aves mhrrrrgh! sub yoro neppa laguo po 'l yira? Pirriyataro ukku bueve to yarretti du guo conto masta (no that's not a language, I just made that up and it does not make sense? ) [Edited on February 20, 2009 by PB] ____________ |

They did a letter changing thing with Final Fantasy X as well for the machina using people. Can't remember their names though.

There is a fairly robust Evlish language from LOTR, I'm not sure how much of that was actually invented by Tolkien, although I wouldn't be surprised if he did lots, apparently he was very much into runes and Norse If any of you've heard of a band called Sigur Ros (there's an accent in there too I think), they're an icelandic band who've invented their own language for their songs. ____________ |
